WW1 U.S. McClellan Military Saddle with issue saddle bags. Saddle is complete with all of it’s brass and metal hardware with the leather having a nice original finish and lustre. The saddle is complete with it’s belly strap and tail strap mounted to the back of the saddle that loops around the horse’s tail. The strap shows some dryness and stiffness, but is complete and without damage. Correct issue stirrups are in place. Tree is solid and strong with no damage, making the saddle very ridable in condition. The saddle is marked “R.C.P.S.” along with the maker’s stamp, “Boyt”, and the number “B.14A.” as well. Issue “U.S.” marked saddle bags are in place with all straps being present on both sides. One mounting attachment for the saddle bags to the saddle is missing but does not distract from the appearance of the saddle.
