Circa 1850 Belgian Large Bore Percussion Duelling Pistols. .58 Cal. percussion single shot pistols with 6 1/2 inch octagon barrels. Simple engraving to the hammers, front and back of locks, side plates, trigger guards, and grip caps. Both fitted with burl walnut stocks, with checkered pistol grips. Both fitted with burl walnut ramrods with bone caps to the tops. Large single Belgian proof marks the top of each barrel. Large octagon butt to the bottom of the grips with an engraved octagon cap to each gun. Barrels are smooth bore being serviceable with age darkening. Actions of both pistols function correctly with strong springs and positive ignition. Stocks show the original color and finish to each pistol, with some slight handling and age marks showing. Approx. 70% of the original finish to the metal showing, having turned to a dark grey, with some browning showing in areas.
