WW1 British issue “A” over “H.A.C.” brass shoulder flash to the “A-Battery” Honorable Artillery Company. Dispatched to the Suez in April of 1917, and in February of 1917 took part in the Palestine Campaign, and were in the first and second battle of Gaza and entered Jerusalem in December of 1917. In the German counter attack during the second Action of Es Salt on May 1 1918, the A Battery was forced to make a withdrawl under heavy fire which resulted in the loss of all of its guns. The A Battery also took part in the Battle of Megiddo in September. Brass constructed flash in very good original condition with both lugs intact.
