Belgian Browning Superposed over And Under, 1959

Belgian Browning Superposed over and under 12 ga. shotgun, in fitted leather Browning luggage case. 28 inch barrels, full and modified with a vent rib and a single bead. 2 3/4 inch chambers. Full and modified chokes. Checkered fore end with checkered round pistol grip. Extractors with single selective trigger. Engraving to both sides and to the bottom of the receiver. Browning butt plate to the end of the stock. Serial number 698xx shows a manufacturing date of 1959. Left side of the upper barrel is marked “Browning Arms Company, St. Louis Mo. & Montreal P.Q., Special Steel, 12 Ga. Shells- 2 3/4″. with the right side of the upper barrel showing the patent number and then stamped “Made In Belgium” below it. The original owner has had his name engraved to the upper left side of the receiver, The is a one owner gun, that has been very well taken care of, and in as new condition, as is the factory leather case which is also accompanied with the original paper work.

1943 SMLE #4 Mk.1* Long Branch

Canadian issue SMLE #4 Mk.* Long Branch military service rifle, chambered in .303 British. Complete with issue magazine. Side of action is marked “No.4 Mk.1*, Long Branch, 1943″, and has the proper issued Mk.III graduated rear sight in place. Both the stock and fore end are stamped with the Canadian C-Broadarrow as does the top of the receiver ring. Top of the stock above the butt plate is stamped with the letter “S” for a short length stock designation. The rifle retains 97% of the original blued finish, with some wear and peeling to the bolt handle from use. Manufactured with a straight and smooth top wood, which is correct. All of the wood shows the original color and finish as issued, with some wear beneath both sides of the action from handling, with approx. 90% remaining overall. Some minor marks to the stock as to be expected. Bore is dark with rifling showing, but weak. ( A good cleaning would improve this.) No markings to the stock ring between the action and trigger guard, and appears that it was never marked at the factory. A serial number has been added on to the front of the trigger guard where it meets the magazine. No markings to the bolt. Action functions smoothly and correctly, locking tightly. This is an original issue war-time rifle, in its original condition, and not a re-build.

Model 1879 Remington Rolling Block Carbine

Model 1879 Remington Rolling Block Saddle Ring Carbine, Argentine contract, chambered in 43 Spanish (43-77). The rifle has been arsenal refinished, with the 20 1/2 inch barrel and action showing 99% of the dark blue finish. Wood has also been arsenal refinished, showing a nice even rich reddish brown color with a brighter finish, dulling in areas. small age crack to the one side of the forearm in front of the action. Butt plate an barrel band also shows a bright and clean blued finish. Bore is excellent, being bright and clean strong and sharp rifling. Action functions correctly and locks properly and tightly. Issue saddle ring and bar in place. NSN.

Model 1873 Winchester Rifle

Winchester Model 1873 3rd Model rifle chambered in 32 WCF (32-20 Winchester Center Fire). 24 inch round barrel, and full length magazine tube. Dust  cover in place on integral rail. Crescent butt plate, and buck horn rear sight. Serial number 2417xxB shows the manufacturing date of 1887. Barrel, action, and magazine tube show 90% of the original finish, with the magazine tube being blued starting to turn to a brown finish, with the barrel and action showing traces of the blued finish in protected areas. Stock and forearm show the original finish and color, with some scratching and bruising being evident from use and age. All screw heads are in very good condition, with all being original to the rifle. Brass action block is marked “.32 Cal.” in script, with a an even aged patina finish to the brass. Bore is dark with rifling being visible and evident, and would benefit from a good cleaning. The rifle is accompanied with a copy of the factory letter, showing the rifle to be correct, and having being received in the warehouse on June 18, 1887, and then shipped from the warehouse on August 6, 1887, as order number 20868.

Winchester Model 1894 Octagon Barrel Rifle, 1919

Winchester Model 1894 Octagon barrel rifle, chambered in .30 WCF (Winchester center fire). 26 inch octagon barrel rifle with full length magazine and metal crescent butt plate. Serial number 8569xx shows a manufacturing date of 1919. The nickel steel barrel and magazine tube show approx. 70% of the original blued finish, turning grey in areas with the action turning brown with slight traces of the original blued finish evident. Stock and fore end show the original color and finish, with approx. 75% remaining, and having storage and handling marks. Lyman tang sight is in place. Action functions correctly, locking and firing correctly. Rifling is very strong with darkness to the bore being present.

Winchester Model 55 Take Down

Winchester Model 55 take down lever action rifle chamber is 30 WCF (Winchester center fire). 24 inch round barrel with 1/2 mag and shotgun butt. Straight grip stock with fluted comb. Serial number 1026xxx shows the production date of 1927.  The Winchester nickel steel barrel shows 98% of the original bright bluing, 96% to thee action and lever with some light scratches and handling marks. Stock and fore end are excellent, showing the bright original factory finish and color with some light handling marks being present.Factory sling swivels and adjustable rear sight in place. Take down feature is very solid and locks very tightly with no play. Action functions smoothly and correctly, locking very tightly. Rifling is very strong with the bore showing a nice brightness.

Iver Johnson Model 89 Defender Pocket Pistol .32 RF

Iver Johnson model 89 Defender, 5 shot, single action spur trigger pocket pistol chambered in .32 rimfire. Measuring 6.5 inches over all, with a 2 inch octagon barrel. Nickel finish with 95% remaining showing slight wear and flecking in areas. 2 piece hard rubber figured grips showing the American Eagle to both sides. Marked to the top of the frame, “Defender 89″. Action is crisp with a strong spring, functioning correctly. Bore shows slight wear with good rifling. Functions and fires correctly. NSN.

Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle chambered in 30 WCF (Winchester Center Fire). 26 inch round barrel with full length magazine tube, straight grip, and crescent butt plate. 2 line address to top of barrel. Back sight has been upgraded to a graduated buckhorn sight. The rifle retains approx. 70% of the original finish, with the barrel showing 80% of the original blued finish turning grey, with the receiver showing 50% finish, faded to grey, turning brown. Stock and fore end show the original finish and color, showing dullness from age. Action functions correctly and locks tightly. Bore is dark with rifling evident and in firing condition. Serial number 320xx shows the production date as 1895, the 2nd year for this rifle. A nice, original, and untouched rifle.
