The leather liner, stamped as size 56, is soft and subtle, showing use and wear. The 3 retaining rivets are tight to the shell as they should be, and match in finish to the shell. The unmarked leather chinstrap with metal roller buckle also shows matching use and ear, with  replacement and repair to the one end. An honest out of the field helmet.
