Pre-WW1 British Royal Engineers Pattern 1897 Infantry Sword

Measuring 38 1/2 inches overall with a 32 1/4 inch etched blade that is proofed at the base. Nickel silver basket hilt guard with a George V cypher and sharkskin wire wrapped grip. Blade is etched with "Royal Engineers" to the one side and George V with a King's Crown to the opposite side Blade is very bright and clean with the wire wrapping being tight and the sharkskin showing light wear. With the issue leather covered field scabbard in place. Excellent condition overall.
