WW1 German Deactivated MG08/15 MG Canadian Captured
Originally chambered in 8mm Mauser, belt fed with water jacket and bipod to the front. Feed block in place and part of the interior mechanics. Action lever to the right side moving and functioning with tension. Bolt with firing pin removed as part of the deactivation, as is the trigger, trigger guard and pistol grip, done at the time of capture. Stock shows use with two visible age cracks present. Marked to the top plate of the action, "121 MG08/15 GwF Spandau 1917". Left side of the barrel jacket, above the tripod, shows a bullet hole from a 303 rifle. Serial number to the top plate of the action, 121, is shown in the book "Reports Of The War Trophies 1920" (A list of Canadian captured German Firearms) shown as a captured item, but no record to place or Battalion claiming the gun, but is shown as being allotted to the Pembroke Ontario Armory. Feed block is a replacement, possibly done in the field, showing the serial number 4163. SKU: 59468
