WW2 French Deactivated Model 17 Unique Service Pistol -German Occupation Kriegsmarine
WW2 French Deactivated Model 17 Unique Service Pistol -German Occupation Kriegsmarine
Deactivated WW2 French Model 17 semi-auto service pistol originally chambered for the .32 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) cartridge. Retaining approx. 98% of the original blued finish with 2 piece grooved hard plastic grip panels with a circular panel to each side, reading " 7.65mm 9 Schuss", translating to “nine-shot .32 ACP" with a steel lanyard ring below. The slide has scroll etching of ‘7.65 COURT 9 COUPS “UNIQUE”’ – French military contract markings which translate to “.32 ACP 9-SHOT UNIQUE.” Underneath the scroll writing for the model, smaller scroll work reads “MANUFACTURE D'ARMES DES PYRENNEES HENDAYE," indicating the manufacturer. The rear of the frame shows a Waffen Amt factory code of WA251 below the serial number on the right side. By 1943, the Germans had improved the design, designating the handgun the Kriegsmodell. and the pistols were stamped at the end of the barrel near the muzzle with a German Kriegsmarine marking. Although records are rather scarce on the number of handguns made under occupation, it appears that the Germans only produced this handgun for less than two years. Current spec deactivation with a non-removeable magazine and no moving parts. A rarer and not often seen WW2 service pistol in very good condition complete with an unmarked leather holster. Accompanied with an RCMP letter and card of deactivation. SKU: 61845 Deactivated. No PAL Required. CANADIAN SALES ONLY
