German Made Model 1840 Spanish Infantry Briquet Sword

Measuring 27 1/4 inches overall with a 22 inch forged steel single edged blade and one piece brass grooved grip and guard. Maker marked to the blade, 'Carl Eickhorn Solingen' with the manufacture's logo stamp to the opposite side. Serial numbered to the cross guard. Leather washer in place. Blade shows age darkening as to be expected. No scabbard present.
