January 30th 1916 Naval Battle Presentation Plaque - H.M.T. Ingoma

Brass, measuring 6 by 3.5 inches and reading 'Two 4.7Cartridge Cases Used By H.M.T. Ingoma Against Submarine Lat. 33 18 11 Long. 24 50 E Jan.30th 1916 U.K. To Alexandria. 1206 Minutes On Board, Fight Lasting 3 Hrs, 45 Mins.' Although the shells are not present, lost in history, the plaque is all that remains, and likely the only one of its kind. Shows a nice original age patina to the brass.
