Named WW1 Canadian CEF Tunic 102nd Battalion North British Columbians
WW1 Canadian 5 button tunic with a four pocket front and metal hook closures collar. All buttons in place and with the issue blackened copper collar badges. Sergeant rank chevrons to each sleeve, with one being a replacement. 3 year service chevron to the lower right sleeve, and a single brass wound stripe to the lower left sleeve. W/|\D War Department marked to the interior and also with a period hand applied naming to 907090 Sergt. J.F. Wilkinson, 102nd Battn. Very good condition overall with a few nips to the material being present. SKU: 60144
History: Frederick James Wilkinson, originally from Regina Saskatchewan attested on February 18th, 1916 with the 195th City Of Regina Battalion, and served overseas in France with the 102nd Battalion, receiving a gun shot would to the left thigh and in the face to the left jaw on June 17th, 1917. He was entitled to wear 3 blue chevrons on December 7th, 1918, and was discharged on January 9th, 1919.
