Named WW2 M3 Knife And Case Knife In Scabbards -Adak Kiska Service

WW2 U.S. M3 knife measuring 11 1/2 inches overall with a 6 1/2 inch steel blade that is stamped "U.S. M3 UC-1943" to the right side of the blade and has the left side of the blade above the guard hand engraved with the soldiers name, "R.M. Duncan". Grooved leather grip and U.S. ordnance stamped to the top of the pommel with the Flaming Bomb. Housed in the issue leather M6 scabbard (used for both the M3 and V-42 knife) constructed of leather with leather reinforcements to each side of the lower portion. Scabbard is manufacture stamped "U.S. M6 Milsco 1943" with a U.S. ordnance flaming bomb below. Soldier has personalized the scabbard with his name to the lower part of the frog section, "DUNC" and has applied his initials to the front meatal plate, "RMD". The front of the scabbard also has "KISKA ADAK" to the front. Some wording has been hand applied to the reverse with the knife blade but is faint and not completely legible. It is also accompanied with a WW2 era Case utility knife, measuring 101/4 inches in length with a 6 inch single edged blade, stamped "CASE" to the one side. Housed in the leather scabbard that has a period hand applied to the front of the same soldier, "Duncan".  SKU: 61533
