The bayonet with its French-style locking ring has a triangular tapered blade with fullers on each face and was carried in a brass-mounted leather scabbard. Measuring 20 3/4 in total length with a 17 1/2 inch triangular blade that is maker marked to one side with a single  proof mark. Locking ring in place to the socket portion which retains approx 80% of the original finish remaining. Blade is mostly bright with some age darkening present as to be expected. In the leather and brass scabbard that is marked WD (War Department) marked with a British Broadarrow.
