All leather construction saddle mount for artillery / heliograph tripod. Carries a tripod up to 38 inches in length. Leather covered metal tongue for attachment to the saddle that shows various stampings. Dated 1916 and maker marked W & H Gidden Ltd. to the attachment strap and stamped 4 over the number 21 to the leather covered metal tongue. Battalion marked with a British Broadarrow to the maid wide strap. SKU: 62063
