Measuring 14 7/8 inches in total length with a 10 1/4 inch, as issued, unaltered steel blade and 2 piece wood grip panels and working release button in place. Pommel is marked "Ross Rifle Co. Quebec Patented 1907" with a large British Broadarrow stamp above, and a single proof mark below. One side of the cross guard is stamped  with a British Broadarrow between the letters "D C" and the numbers "08" and "1-09" below, with the letter "E" above the number "99" to the opposite side. Pommel is also stamped with the date mark "4.10" (April 1910) and the letters "R.D." above the number "47". The right wood grip panel is stamped with a single proof mark, with the left side stamped with the number "47" (New Westminster Battalion) along with "35 CAH" (35th Central Alberta Horse) The leather scabbard with built in frog is stamped with a single proof mark to the upper portion of the reverse, and the number "89184".
