WW1 Canadian UPS Universal Pattern Saddle -9th Canadian Mounted Rifles Lloydminster Saskatchewan

An early WW1 leather covered, steel and wooden tree saddle that is stamped with a large Canadian C-Broadarrow in a diamond to one fender that is also stamped C.L.H. (Canadian  Light Horse) with the opposite leather fender stamped 9 CMR. (9th Canadian Mounted Rifles, LLoydminster Saskatchewan) One leather tree tab cover is maker stamped, Calgary Saddlery Co. Ltd. Calgary Alberta and dated 1914 with the number 058 above. Matching nickel stirrups, both being maker marked Real Bros. and also sated 1914. Solid tree with all leather straps and buckles in place. Stitching has come loose where the seat meets the cantle. Display very well. SKU: 61341
