WW1 German Air Force "Metal Cloth" Flight Boots

Matching pair of rare WW1 German Air Force flight boots, constructed in what is termed as "Metal Cloth" A woven material of heavy course cloth and metal shavings that were worn over the breeches and leather boots. Heavy leather soles with 4 leather closure straps to roller buckles on each boot that measure 28 inches in height and with shearling interiors. Pull straps in place to the tops of each boot with one strap missing to the top of one boot, one one strap being broke to the other boot but remains in place. No visible markings or labels in place. Both are in very good condition for showing use and service and rare to find. Last photo shows a WW1 German pilot with the boots in wear.
