WW1 German S98/05 aA Sawback Butcher Blade Bayonet

Measuring 19 3/4 inches overall with a 14 1/2 inch single edged fullered blade, widening towards the end, and with the sawback serrations to the top. Manufacture marked to the one side of the blade, Act. Ges. vorm, Frister & Rossmann, Berlin, with a stamping of the company logo to the opposite side. Two piece , grooved wood grip panels with functioning release button in place and proof marked to the top of the pommel on the opposite side. Blade shows use and wear and has not been re-sharpened. With the steel field scabbard with a single proof mark to the throat. Scabbard shows loss of the finish and handling marks. SKU: 63788
