WW1 German S98/05 "Butcher Blade" Bayonet

2nd pattern bayonet, measuring 19 3/4 inches overall with a 14 1/2 inch steel "butcher" style blade that is maker marked Schleutermaann Remscheid, and regimental marked (88th Infantry Division) to the cross guard. Marked to the spine and dated 1917. 2 piece grooved, wood grip panels with a working release button in place. No scabbard present.
