WW1 United States Army M1917 Plumb Bolo Knife In Scabbard

Measuring 14 3/4 inches overall with a 9 3/4 inch, widening bolo style blade and 2 piece finger grooved wood grip panels. This is the Model 1917 Commercial Tolerances (C.T.) version made by both Plumb in St. Louis and the American Cutlery Company of Chicago.  Stamped to one side of the blade, U.S. MOD. 1917, C.T., and A.C.CO CHICAGO 1918 to the opposite side. Metal shows use and wear with discoloration and pitting present and wear to the wood grip panels. The knife is with the canvas and leather scabbard that is maker marked Brauer Bros. and dated 1918 with the blackened brass mounting hooks in place. SKU: 63651
