WW1 Webley & Scott No.2 Mk.I* Flare Pistol 1918
These pistols were modified from the Webley & Scott No.2 Mark I flare guns just prior to WW2. These were designed for use on light armored vehicles and slide into a housing. Original date of 1918 on the left side of the barrel. 1940 conversion date on the cup. Matching numbers. 'M' marked on the bottom of the left grip. All steel construction with a total barrel length of 6 inches with a 3 inch shroud over the action of the pistol. Bore of the flare is 1.5 inches with a 2.75 inch opening for the M5 and M36 Mills. Stamped to the left side of the barrel, 'Webley and Scott Ltd., No.2 Mk.I*' with proof marks below and dated 1918. Marked 'No.2 Mk.I*' to the lower side of the action above the trigger. Outer barrel lugs are stamped with a British Broadarrow and proof mark to the lower. 2 piece checker hard rubber grips with lanyard ring below being in excellent condition. Functioning in both single and double action. Mechanically excellent. Arsenal refinished before release. A rare WW1 item not often encountered. Non-Gun - No PAL Required. CANADIAN SALES ONLY.
