WW2 3rd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife - WD War Department

Measuring 11 inches overall with a 6 1/4 inch steel, double edges, stiletto blade and grooved grip with a blackened domed pommel nut. Blade retains approx. 90% of the original blued finish. Stamped "England" to the cross guard for export. Handle is cast with the number "2" for the 2nd mold production. Leather scabbard is WD War Department stamped and has been shortened by the removal of the upper portion for attachment to the best.
