2nd pattern WW2 duffel coat used by Army officers in the Desert and other theatres as well as by members of the Royal Navy. Made from a thick, coarse woolen material called 'duffle' this term comes from a town in the province of Antwerp, Belgium called 'Duffel' from where the material originates. Two pocket front with four wooden toggle fastenings and cuff fastening strap to each side with an integral hood that has button fastenings to inside edges. Manufactures label to the interior but has faded. Approx. size 42-44. SKU: 60304
