WW2 British RAF Royal Air Force Cased Barr & Stroud Mk.II Reflector Sight

Non-gyroscopically stabilized British aircraft gunsight, as used on the Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane fighters during the Battle of Britain, with the early rounded reflector plate. The sight has extensive Air Ministry markings, adjustment collars for range and convergence, an intact bakelite illuminator housing. The "nose breaker" cushioned pad is intact and still fitted to the front face of the sight housing. Contained in the issue wood case with dovetail ends, suitcase style carry handle and manufactures nameplate to the front. The case measures 12 x 5 3/4 and 7 11/2 inches in height.
