WW2 Canadian Camouflage Gas Cape 1942

The cape is made from a green coloured, linseed oil impregnated cotton which features a brown camouflage disruptive pattern. The front fastens with brass press studs and there is a single pocket to the front which is designed to house the anti-gas ointment tin. The rear features a 'hump' section which is intended to fit over the small or large pack if worn. There are two khaki coloured cotton tapes fitted at the neck which are used to either tie the cape to the wearer's body or store it when rolled up. Manufacture marked to the interior "TOWER" with 3 stars, and dated 1942 with a Canadian C-Broad Arrow. All brass snaps in place. Area of damage and tear to the back hump section that could be repaired. Soft and pliable, and other wise in very good condition. SKU: 65920
