WW2 Canadian Cased Memorial Cross, named to H-63640, Pte. J.F. Duke. Marked Sterling to the bottom reverse and in case. No ribbon or suspension in place. John Frederick Duke from Newdale Manitoba enlisted in Winnipeg Manitoba on May 14, 1941, and served overseas with the Lake Superior Regiment. Listed as a tank driver / mechanic, he was KIA in Holland on February 16th, 1945 and is buried at the Nijmegen Canadian Military Cemetery, 4 miles S.E. of Nijmegen, Holland. The medal is accompanied with a copy of portions of the service file from the LAC website. SKU: 63386
