Deactivated WW2 Canadian Mk.II Sten Gun, originally chambered for the 9mm cartridge, stamped to the one side of the mag well, Sten Mk.II, Long Branch, and dated 1942. with the opposite showing the 4 digit serial number being of the first run for 9,990 pieces. Small Canadian C-Broadarrow stamp to the bottom the the trigger housing, and reissue stamps to the one side of the mag well, and to the left side of the frame with another Canadian C-Broadarrow stamp, and a reissue date of 1/47 (January 1947). Barrel shows a non-matching serial number as it was a field replacement, or a replacement during the arsenal refinishing stage. which was a common occurrence. Old spec cock and click deactivation, with a moving bolt that locks back, and releases with pull of the trigger, removeable T-stock, turning mag well. and manufacture marked removeable magazine that has had the follower welded in place. Shows both internal and external welds and a blocked chamber that prevents the use of any ammunition. The first production run of WW2 Canadian sten guns was 9,900, with the 4 digit serial number showing a production date to the end of the first quarter.
