WW2 Canadian Paybook Set, all named to C29516, S/SGT GEORGE HUNTER MacMILLAN is comprised of a hardcover paybook, along with 3 soft cover paybooks. Along with hte set, is also a list of members in the Sgt's Mess of the No.4 Canadian General Hospital, RCAMC, where he is shown on the list, along with a notation from Col. C.F> Abbott, Commanding Officer of the No.2 Canadian General Hospital, noting his ability in the training of Nursing Orderlies, and supervision of Medical and Surgical Nursing Orderlies. Also for the contribution to the comfort, care, and well being of patience treated in the hospital. There is also his Canadian RCAMC General Hospital Identification Certificate, dated Dec.13, 1943, showing his rank as QMS, quarter Master Sargant. There is also a Canadian Army Overseas Leave Pass, dated October 1, 1945, a 1946 pocket calendar card from the T. Eatons, with "May you be back home soon" to the front, along with a CNR Military train ticket set of 3, and 2 receipts from The Morris Shop located in Ottawa for a set of Hose, and a skirt and sweater, dated Dec.2, 1949. All of the items are contained in a leather folding wallet that measures 5 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches in the closed position, that has a card to interior reading "Season's Greetings Christmas 1944, compliments of No.2 Canadian General Hospital RCAMC, Canadian Army Overseas, The paybook shows that he was awarded the Certificate for Good Service, 1939-1945 Star, The France and Germany Star, and the Defence Medal.
