WW2 Canadian Royal Canadian Engineers Third Division Uniform Set belonging to B130338, Kenneth Vaux Seymour. The set is comprised of the BD Battle Dress tunic with pants, and summer tunic also with pants, along with a CFSC, colored field service cap with badge, WW2 beret, with badge, and paperwork. Heavy wool construction, 5 button, 2 pocket front battle dress with double hook collar closure. British made, embroidered on cloth Royal Canadian Engineers cloth shoulder titles to each upper arm with cloth third division insignia below. Private rank chevron in place to each arm with a 3 year overseas service chevron to the lower right sleeve. All button is place with a 3 place ribbon bar above the left breast pocket for the 1939-1945 Star Medal, France and German Star Medal, and CVSM with maple leaf. Interior is manufacture stamped and dated 1943 with a Canadian -Broadarrow above. The tunic is accompanied with a pair of WW2 BD battle dress trousers, with all buttons and belt loops in place. Manufacture marked to the interior and dated 1944 with a Canadian C-Broadarrow. Both the tunic and pants are in excellent condition. The summer dress, button, 4 pocket front open collar tunic is with embroidered in cloth R.C.E. cloth shoulder titles and embroidered in cloth CANADA summer titles below, with the upper right sleeve having an embroidered on cloth trade badge in place, and the lower left sleeve having an embroidered on cloth G.S. general service insignia. A 4 place ribbon bar is present above the left front breast pocket. Collar badges are not present. The interior of the tunic is manufacture stamped and dated 1942 with a Canadian C-Broadarrow. The summer tunic is also with the pants that have all buttons and belt loops in place. Also manufacture marked to the interior and dated 1942 and with a Canadian C-Broadarrow. With the uniforms as also the colored field service cap, wool construction with gold colored piping and 2 small brass CANADA front buttons. Manufactures label is in place to the interior, with a brass cap badge in place to the left side. The WW2 Canadian wool beret is manufacture marked and dated 1944 with a Canadian C-Broadarrow stamp. Brass cap badge is in place with a plastic backing. The set is also with a copy of the Maple Leaf Canadian Press newspaper, special victory edition with 8 hand written, period applied names of other soldiers with service numbers to the front, that are possibly friends of his from the war. There is also a printed on paper, NAAFI, RCN Meet The Navy brochure,  post war  letters from the Department Of National Defence, a post war letter from the Army Counsellor Division, an August 22, 1945 letter to him in envelope, and his named Standard Tests Of Elementary Training (Royal Engineers) booklet.  B130338 Kenneth Vaux Seymour became active on July 27, 1942 and was Honorably Discharged  on January 27th, 1946. Born April 16, 1921, and passed on April 4, 2016. This set was obtained directly from the family and is presented exactly as received from the family. SKU: 62979
