WW2 German Army Field Marshall Derfflinger Pattern Officer's Sword

WW2 German Army Field Marshall Derfflinger Pattern Officer's Sword, measuring 35 1/2 inches overall with a slightly curved, single edge, fullered blade that measures 32inches overall. Maker marked Eickhorn wo the one side with company logo. Gilt finish cross guard, back strap, and knuckle bow that are all nicely done with raised raised embossing, and lower shields with the outer having the raised eagle and German Army symbol. Contoured, molded, black, bakelite grip with a central bulge, with the horizontal grooves having white metal wire wrapping. Blade is bright and clean with some very minor spotting being present. Gilting with slight wear marks and the bakalite grips and wire wrapping all being in excellent condition. The sword is with its original, black painted, tooled, sheet metal construction scabbard that shows expected finish loss and wear marks. SKU: 63087
