WW2 German K98 Service Rifle Bayonet Scabbard And Frog 1938

Steel combat bayonet measuring 15 1/4 inches overall with a 10 inch fullered blade that is serial numbered 2863 over the letter "g" to one side, and maker marked Berg & Co. to the opposite side with a stamping to the cross guard above this. Stamped 38 to the spine for the year 1938 with 2 Waffen Amp stamps to the top of the pommel. Post war applied etching to the opposite side below the functioning release button. 2 piece grooved bakalite grip panels with the blade showing sharpening marks to both sides. Non-matching number steel field scabbard in place with a WW2 German leather frog that is unmarked. SKU: 61763
