WW2 German Army LP34 27mm Flare Pistol 1943

 Steel and aluminum construction, WW2 German LP34 flare pistol with a 6 inch, half round, half octagon barrel. Under lever, break open, exposed hammer, single action with 2 piece checkered hard rubber grips, and a steel lanyard ring below. Waffen Amt marked to the right side of the frame, and serial numbered to the opposite side. Manufacture stamped "ayf" and dated 1943. The manufacturer Erfurter Maschinenfabrik Berthold Geipel GmbH, Erfurt marked their flare guns with the acronym "ERMA-ERFURT" from the start of production in 1936 and until the middle of 1940 when they switched to their assigned code "ayf".
