Measuring 33 1/2 inches overall, with a 26 1/4 inch nickel/silver plated, drop forged steel, dual edged, blade, with a central fuller running from the cross guard about 9 3/4" long down the blade towards the tip. Maker marked to one side of the blade, SMF Solingen with the company logo, indicating manufacture by Solingen Metallwaren-Fabrik Stocker & Co. Solingen. Aluminum alloy cross guard and pommel that is engraved with oak leaves to the edging, and a silver wire wrapped leather covered grip. The sword comes complete with its original alloy construction scabbard with a grained blue Moroccan leather covering and alloy fittings and issue hanger. In very good original condition and an excellent example.
