Steel construction, single shot, break open, single action flare pistol with a 4 1/2 inch, 1 inch bore barrel with the action opening lever situated to the left side. 2 piece checkered grip panels with the H&R, Harrington and Richardson logo to each. Top of the barrel is marked " Harrington Richardson Arms Co., Worcester Mass, USA", and "Mark VI One Inch" to the left side of the frame under the barrel. Lanyard ring in place below the grips.
