Pre-WW1 Antique Martini Henry Enfield Mk.I Infantry Rifle

single shot falling block action, chambered for the 577-450 Martini Henry cartridge. Short lever, with thumbprint to the back of the action that is stamped with a Victorian Crown and marked "Enfield 1873 I. (Mark I). English walnut full length stock secured by 2 steel barrel bands with both having sling swivels. A 3rd sling swivel has been added to the back of the stock that has a widely checkered steel butt plate. War Department roundel with British Broadarrow stamped to the right side of the stock. Graduated rear sight to 400 yards with a blade front sight. Issue steel cleaning rod in place. Wood show expected handling marks with approx. 70% original finish to the metal works. Bore shows deep and prominent rifling. Mechanically excellent with a tight lock up.
