Pre-WW1 Antique Remington New Model Police Revolver

Manufactured between 1865 and 1873, factory converted to 38 rimfire , 5 shot single action with a 3 1/2 inch barrel and nickeled finish with 2 piece walnut grips. Marked to the top of the octagon barrel, "Patented Sept. 14, 1858, March 17, 1863/E. Remington & Sons, Ilion New York USA / New Model.  Retains approx. 85% of the original nickel finish with scattered spotting and some light flaking. Grips show expected wear but retain most of the original color and varnish finish. Mechanically excellent with a tight spring and positive ignition. The blued hammer shows 90% of the original blued finish and a good bare with predominant rifling with some expected darkness. Very good condition overall. SKU: 60444
