A Victorian Era Cased Naval Sword Belt And Epaulettes Named To Lt. Cyril Callaghan. Metal case with red velvet interior lining containing a leather Naval sword belt with gilt buckle, and Officer epaulettes. Top of case shows the Victorian Crown manufactures plaque and brass name plaque to Lieut. Cyril Callaghan, R.N. Belt and epaulettes are in excellent condition with the exterior of the case showing an aged patina finish. Lieut. Cyril Callaghan was the son of Admiral Of The fleet, Sir George Callaghan, and the Commander of the Destroyer HMS Racehorse August 15, 1909 and Commander of the HMS Attack, 1912, responsible for the sinking of the German U-Boat U12 in 1915.
