WW2 Canadian Deactivated No.2 Mk.1 Enfield "Tankers Model" Service Pistol With Holster
Deactivated double action break open service pistol originally chambered in .38 Cal. with the smooth hammer, and 2 piece grooved hard rubber grips with lanyard ring below. Marked to the right side of the frame, EnfieldNo.2 Mk.I with a King's Crown and dated 1931 below. Proof marked to the left side of the barrel in front of the cylinder and marked CAL.38 to the top of the barrel along with a series of proof marks. A number "5" in white is to the top of the grips behind the hammer, which is a rack number. The pistol is accompanied with the correct long length "tankers model" webbed holster with a single webbed strap closure to a brass tab and 6 webbed cartridge loops to the front. Back of the holster is maker stamped M.S. & U. Ltd. and dated 1943 with a Canadian C-Broadarrow as is the matching leg strap. Holster is in good condition with strong stitching and some light staining from use being present. The pistol is "old-spec" deactivation (grandfathered), with the cylinder turning and hammer functioning with a pull of the trigger. Barrel is plugged at the muzzle and shows external welds preventing access to the interior. The pistol retains most of the original war time finish with some spots of blemishing present from the deactivation process. A very nice and complete set. SKU: 60259
