Old-spec deactivation, cock but no click M.G. with folding stock and collapsible padded butt plate. Marked to the side of the action beneath the cocking handle, and Waffen Amt stamped at the rear of the action. Sling swivels present to the barrel and back of action with a rotating carry handle in front of the action. Folding and locking bipod to the front of the barrel with folding front and rear sights. They remained in production until 1935, when it was replaced by the MG 34, and were sold to Portugal, with this model being so marked with the Portuguese Crest. Some were retained by the German Army for use in WW2. Complete wit the removeable box magazine. This model retains approx. 90% of the original finish and complete with the Indirect Firing Assist Kit contained in the canvas carry bag with all leather straps in place. A rarer WW2 German item that is not often encountered.
Old Spec deactivation (Grandfathered), cock, with no click, with the bolt sheered and both interior and exterior welds preventing any access to the interior and any use of ammunition. Magazine follower welding in place. All in very good condition overall. SKU: 61141
