The Sauer 38H was made from 1938 to 1945 by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. The German designation for this handgun was Sauer Pistole Modell 38 Hahn Selbstspannung (Sauer Pistol Model 38 Hammer Self-Cocking). The "H" in the model number indicates this pistol uses a shrouded hammer as opposed to striker style firing of earlier Sauer models. The Sauer 38H was used by German armed forces such as the Luftwaffe and was a favorite of the Fallschirmjäger. Caliber marked to the left side of the frame above the trigger guard, "Cal. 7.65" and with a single WW2 German Waffen Amt to the upper back of the frame below the serial number. Issue magazine in place, Sauer marked and also with the caliber designation. 2 piece checkered hard rubber Sauer logo grip panels in place that show some light damage and repair. Current spec deactivation with a non removeable magazine, and no moving parts other than the safety, slide release, and magazine release button. SKU: 60884
