Named WW1 uniform set comprising of 2 blue patrol tunics, a WW1 Officers tunic, and 2 pairs of Officer's leather high top boots with wooden forms and sword belt. The first blue patrol tunic with a 5 button, 4 pocket front with arrow cuffs and a stand up collar. All brass Vancouver Regiment buttons in place. with a matching pair, facing left and right, Officer's collar badges in place. Bullion wire, raised and padded rank insignia for Lieutenant Colonel with CANADA title to each epaulette. Ribbon bar above the left breast pocket for the Military Cross, WW1 Medal Trio, and Efficiency Medal. Manufactures tag in place to the collar with a period, hand applied naming. No waist belt in place. The Officer's tunic, being a 4 button, 4 pocket front with all brass Vancouver Regiment buttons in place and brass rank insignia for Lieutenant Colonel and bullion wire CANADA to each epaulette. Matching Officer's collar badges, facing left and right present. 5 year service chevron that is embroidered directly onto the lower right sleeve. Ribbon bar in place above the left breast pocket for the same medals. Manufactures label in place to the collar with period applied, handwritten naming. Waist belt in place. The 2nd blue patrol tunic is a 5 button, 4 pocket front with arrow cuffs and a stand up collar with gilt Officer's collar badges in place, facing left and right. All brass Vancouver Regiment buttons in place. Metal pips to each of the epaulettes. Remnants of manufactures tag in place to the collar. No waist belt in place. The uniforms are also accompanied with 2 pairs if WW1 Officer' s high top leather boots with the named wooden 4 piece forms in place. also, there is a blue woven cotton and leather dress waist belt with brass fixtures and a brass sword hanger to the side. The belt being un-named. Accompanied with portion of the service file.
Lt. Col. B.G. Wolfe Merton served overseas in both England and France with the 29th Battalion, H.Q. 6th Can. Inf. Bde., British Columbia Depot, and H.Q. 2nd Divisional Train, and also H.Q. C.C.C. Certificate Of Service shows he was discharged on October 31 of 1919. He was awarded the Military Cross, London Gazette 29824 dated November 14, 1916. SKU: 61201
