WW1 Australian Pattern 1907 bayonet for use with the SMLE #1 Mk.III bolt action service rifle in 303 British. Measuring 21 3/4 inches overall with a blackened 17 inch single edged, fullered blade that is maker marked Lithgow and dated 5 '21 (May 1921) with a shield above to the one side, and proof marked to the opposite side. One side of the pommel is stamped with the letter A and the number 31387. 2 piece wood grip panels and working release button in place. Back of the leather scabbard is stamped Mangrovite and dated 1944, with the other edge showing the letter B below a Broadarrow. Both the bayonet and scabbard have been arsenal refinished to as new condition. An excellent example. SKU: 63628
