Uniform pair of Lieut. James Philip Baker comprising of a Pre-WW1 Canadian 4 pocket, 5 button tunic with all brass Canadian Militia buttons in place. chain mail to both epaulettes with Lieutenant rank pips in place with arrow cuff sleeves. Pair of non-matching 27th Light Horse collars in place (This is how we received it) This is also with a WW1 Canadian open collar, 4 pocket, 4 button cuff rank tunic, with the rank of Lieutenant to each cull and having all leather covered buttons in place. No collars present, but a shadow cast can be seen from a pair of collars of the maple leaf variant. A WW1 Canadian 10th Battalion Officer's cap badge is present, and was found located in the pocket and will be supplied with the tunic. No waist belt present. Although both tunics are not named, they were obtained directly from the family that named the Officer and is supplied with research.
Lieutenant James Philip Baker attestated in Valcartier on September 23, 1914, with the attestation showing him as General List and is shown with previous service in the 27th Light Horse. Records show that he was later transferred to the 5th Battalion and later the 10th Battalion where he served overseas and received a G.S.W. on June 14, 1916. His Certificate Of Service shows that he was struck off strength on February 13 of 1918. SKU: 61309
