WW1 Canadian British SMLE Service Rifle Cleaning Funnel

WWI era barrel cleaning funnel used for pouring cleaning fluids, normally boiling water, down the barrel of the SMLE rifle and could also be used on Long Lee or .303 Martini rifles. They were introduced with .303 ammunition so that boiling water could be poured down the bore (from the chamber end) to flush out the corrosive residues left by cordite propellant and mercuric primers. Galvanized metal construction with a goose neck spout for entering the chamber of the rifle. SKU: 63492
