Deactivated WW1 Austro-Hungarian Steyr Mannlicher straight pull bolt service rifle originally chambered for the 8 X 56mm rimmed cartridge. Measuring 50 inches overall with a 29 inch round barrel and external box magazine. Full wood military stock numbered to the butt stock. Marked to the action ring, "STEYR M1895" with matching serial numbers to the barrel and action. Old spec cock and click deactivation with a moving bolt that releases with a pull of the trigger. Cut-out to the top of the chamber behind the back sight, with the firing pin removed and chamber blocked. Shows expected use and wear. Does not, and cannot accept ammunition of any kind.
