Measuring 10 1/2 inches in the closed position, and 25 inches in the open position, including the 3 inch sunshade and end cap. Three draw, brass construction with a leather wrapped 6 1/2 inch portion with a brass makers manufactures plate, "The Lord Bury Telescope , J.H. Steward Ltd. 406-457 Strand No. 5746 London". It is again maker marked to the first section above the eye piece, "J.H. Steward Ltd., 406-457 Strand, London." The telescope shows a nice, even, aged brass finish with the leather wrap being in very good condition. It is contained in the issue leather carry case with a removeable end cap and a single leather strap to a brass roller buckle and an adjustable leather carry strap. The side of the case shows a period, hand applied naming "Westbury", for Captain B. Westbury of the British Army. The optics are very cloudy with no clarity, and with a small chip to the glass, but still displays very well. SKU: 63418
