WW1 British Cavalry Tripod Carrier 1916

All leather construction saddle mount for artillery / heliograph tripod. Carries a tripod up to 38 inches in length. Leather covered metal tongue for attachment to the saddle that shows various stampings. Dated 1916 and battalion stamped '2M1' with a British Broadarrow stamp. In excellent and complete condition. A rarer item not often seen.
