WW1 Canadian Mk.II Ross Rifle Bayonet, measuring 14 3/4 inches in total length with a 10 1/4 inch unaltered, single edged blade. 2 piece wood grip panels, with the right panel having a Canadian C-Broadarrow stamp, and the left panel with a single proof mark stamp, and stamped with the number 260. Proof marked to the spine between the grip panels. Steel pommel is manufacture stamped to the one side, and dated 8-09 to the opposite side with a Canadian C-Broadarrow stamp. Top of the steel pommel is stamped with the letter L above 12TC and the number 8. The leather frog is stamped at the end, Mk.II, to one side, and a Canadian X-Broadarrow stamp to the opposite side along with R.G. and the date 1916. The reverse of the leather belt loop portion shows a hand applied naming, M. Ker. with a hand applied number 54235. Records show that the number does not match the naming. Perhaps being used by 2 different soldiers. Nice original condition. with use and wear. SKU: 62692
