Armourer's training model, originally chambered in 303 British constructed from a WW1 SMLE #1 Mk.III service rifle, taken out of service, marked DP and used for drill purpose, and then turned into a training model. Used to teach the operation of the WW1 SMLE #1 Mk.III service rifle. Skeletonized to show the inner parts and workings with a functioning that cocks and releases from a pull of the trigger. Magazine in place that is also skeletonized to show the non-firing dummy rounds contained within. DP marked to the top of the barrel, the extractor, and to the action ring. Red paint to highlight the skeletonized parts. Walnut stock with brass butt plate. Measures 28 1/2 inches overall. Exterior welds and welded blot face with a non-removeable bolt, and does not, and cannot be made to accept ammunition of any kind. Classified as a non-gun. SKU: 61249
