WW1 Canadian CEF 4th Canadian Machine Gun Battalion CMGB Officers Uniform Set

WW1 Canadian CEF 4th Canadian Machine Gun Battalion CMGB Uniform Set, comprising of the tunic, named trench cap with badge, and Div painted Helmet.  WW1 5 button, 4 pocket front tunic with all buttons in place, and cloth 4th Canadian Machine Gun Battalion division patches to each upper sleeve, with a single would badge to the lower left arm and a ribbon the the MM (Military Medal) above the left breast pocket. White metal collar badges are in place. Brass CANADA shoulder titles with a singe raised and padded cloth pip to each epaulette. Remnants of the paper label in place to the interior, and also War department stamped and with a British Broadarrow. The WW1 steel combat helmet features a hand painted 4th Canadian Machine Gun Battalion insignia to the front, with the liner in place along with the steel "donut" ring. The leather chinstrap is present, but has broken over time. The helmet is well marked to the interior of the back brim. The WW1 trench cap is with a WW1 Canada Machine Corps Battalion brass cap badge to the front, and has the leather chinstrap in place with small brass CANADA buttons to each side, The visor has been re-stitched and reattached to the cap as some point in time. Canadian C-Broadarrow stamped to the interior and with a hand applied naming to the leather sweatband, "A.J. Poetie".  The tunic shows expected wear with a few moth nips being present, and the trench cap showing use and wear. The helmet, also showing use, with paint loss to the outer shell and wear to the liner. SKU: J63552
